A Day in the Life of an All-American Pest Control Professional

Have you seen the television show CSI? It’s all about solving mysteries using the most advanced forensic technologies available. Our service team members have a lot in common with the agents on CSI.

When CSI shows up at the door, there are a few things you can expect. One of them is that they’re going to ask good questions so they can figure out what’s going on. Our service professionals do this too. It is important to ask the right questions. Pests can be tricky to find and it is often their behavior patterns prior to a service visit that helps our team figure out where the problem is.

There are a lot of twists and turns on CSI. Just when you think you have it all figured out, BAM! A new fact changes everything! That was the case when Gerald, one of our service professionals, found the right clue to track down the source of an ant infestation. The customer had no idea where all the ants were coming from until Gerald pointed out that the source of the problem was in an exterior storage shed.

Like the agents on CSI, our service professionals work on their own a lot. But, in the background, they have an experienced team that helps them solve those mysteries. If they find themselves up against a difficult problem, they have instant access to the information and support they need.

Every day is just a little bit different. Sometimes our service professionals are uncovering termites emerging from foam insulation in a home. Sometimes they’re relocating a garden spider at the request of a gentle-hearted homeowner.

Sometimes they’re tacking down a hidden wasp nest. But there are some things that happen all the time. Our service team members routinely do three passes around a home and apply appropriate treatments to solve pest problems “before” they happen. That’s a better solution than tracking them down after they’ve established themselves.

If you could look behind the scenes of CSI, you might see the actors getting their makeup on or practicing their lines but what would you see behind the scenes of a real CSI unit? It takes a lot to get a team together and to train them to work well in whatever situations they find themselves in. The same is true here at All-American. We have a stringent hiring process that helps us find the best people to be a part of our team. This team is strengthened through intensive, ongoing training and, at every level, held together by an infrastructure that gives them the support they need to work as a team. All of this is so we can provide thorough, quality service for our customers.

At the end of the day, it is all about solving crimes. What crimes do pest control professionals solve? How about breaking and entering, burglary, and vandalism, for starters. When those pests get in they can damage our homes, steal our food, and destroy our belongings. They don’t do it on purpose, of course, but they still do it. Our service professionals have the training, technology, and support needed to track down pest problems and solves those crimes.

If you’re dealing with a mysterious pest problem in Middle Tennessee (or one that isn’t so mysterious) reach out to All-American Pest Control. When it comes to pest control mysteries, our team is one of the best at solving those mysteries.
